TEAM MALMEDIE TAKES THE LEAD

THE TITLE FIGHT IS GETTING CLOSER

REMUS GT3 Championship | Bathurst

In the 5th round of the REMUS GT3 Championship the sim racers of TV moderator and motorsport influencer Matthias Malmedie, kept on rising and where able to surpass Team Shmee150. Driver of the day was Malmedie team member Emre Cihan (Team Fordzilla), who took home P2 and P6, and thereby earned his team a lot of points. New leader in the individual competition is Shmee150 driver Jack Keithley (Williams Esports), who took home the first win of the night. Petr Pliska (Ballas Esports) won the second run of the night.

The REMUS guest starters Esteban Muth and Ferdinand Habsburg ran out of luck, while racing agains the sim pros. The Belgian racing driver Esteban Muth had a technical break down of his computer and therefore was disconnected. HE unfortunately was not able to rejoin for the second run. Habsburg started race one from P28 and the second from P2. Sadly, Ferdinand also had some technal difficulties and had a DNF in the second race of the night. “What a pitty that I couldn’t finish the race...But it was really fascinating watching the others. They are real pros, driving those simulators.” – Ferdinand Habsburg

Shmee150 driver Keithley is now in the lead in the individual of the REMUS GT3 Championship, by a margin of 8 points before Malmedie team member Marko Pejic (Veoce Esports). The tension could not be higher for the last race of the season, at the legendary street track in Macau.

At Macau, there is no margin for errors, as the track is really narrow and there are no run-off areas. One mistake and the driver could end up in the barriers. This track is so tricky due to its varying width. Take overs are hard to do and the drivers have to figure out a tactics to come home victoriously.

Tune in to watch the final round of the REMUS GT3 Championship 2021 in Macau, as we have many special guest joining us.
